The raw material called paraffin is a hydrocarbon with a white color, solid and translucent, burning with a bright flame, extracted from substances such as petroleum, naphtha, tar. When you choose candles containing paraffin, you are in contact with harmful chemicals emitted by a petrochemical candle in your environment, by breathing. You can safely use Hoff Concept products in your living spaces, as we do not use chemical ingredients consisting of harmful components such as paraffin in our products and we prefer completely natural ingredients such as 100% natural soy wax.
Soybean wax is a completely organic and biodegradable raw material obtained from soybeans. Beeswax is a natural ingredient produced by bees. There are different varieties in terms of quality in direct proportion to the additives added to soy and beeswax. As Hoff Concept, we use natural soy wax and beeswax that do not contain any additives in our production, so you can use our products with peace of mind.
To summarize the points you need to pay attention to in cotton wick candles:
- We recommend that you do not touch or move your burning candles as much as possible.
- We recommend that you allow the melting pool to reach all the peripheries of the vessel with each burn and do not blow out your candle before this process is complete.
- We recommend that you clean the burnt black parts of the wicks by cutting them with a pair of scissors before each application. We recommend that you cut the wicks from the middle, not the bottom, to avoid problems the next time you go.
Since we do not include any chemical components in the production of all our products and we use completely natural raw materials, you can safely use the melted wax as a hand lotion if you are not allergic to a certain fragrance or ingredient. Please extinguish the candle before use and test it by applying it to a narrow area in your hand first.
Since our candles and aroma melts are produced using completely natural soy wax and beeswax, their melting point is lower than paraffin wax candles. Even though our candles can burn longer thanks to these features, they must be kept at temperatures above 30 degrees. If it is exposed to direct sunlight, you may encounter problems such as melting. Because of that, we recommend that you take care to store your candles and aroma melts in a cool environment where they are not exposed to direct sunlight.
